Marketplace Rules
Effective Date: 1 April 2026 · Version 1.0
These Marketplace Rules supplement the Terms of Service and apply to all sellers who post listings on EasiMachines. Violations may result in listing removal, account suspension, or permanent ban. EasiMachines reserves the right to remove any listing at its sole discretion without prior notice.
1. General Listing Standards
Every listing must meet the following baseline standards:
List a specific, individual piece of equipment or vehicle that you own or have clear authority to sell.
Provide an accurate make, model, year of manufacture, serial/machine number (where available), and current condition (New / Used / Refurbished / For Parts).
Include a realistic asking price based on current market conditions. Price ranges are accepted for enquiry-priced items.
Upload original photographs of the actual equipment — minimum 3 photos required on paid plans.
Provide your real business name and a valid location (city/country).
Generic category listings, bundles, or 'multiple available' listings without individual itemisation (each unit must have its own listing).
Placeholder, stock, or catalogue images substituted for photos of the actual item.
Listings with an asking price of $1 or equivalent placeholder prices — all prices must reflect genuine market values.
Duplicate listings — posting the same machine in multiple listings simultaneously on the same or different accounts.
Anonymous listings — seller identity must be verifiable.
2. Listing Content Rules
2.1 Text & Descriptions
Detailed technical specifications: engine hours, service history, attachments, dimensions, weight, and condition notes.
Honest condition disclosures including known faults, wear, damage, or missing parts.
Delivery options and general location (city/region — not full address in public listing).
Contact information (phone numbers, email addresses, website URLs, social media handles) in listing titles or descriptions — all buyer contact is handled through the Platform enquiry system.
Keyword stuffing: artificially inflating search relevance by repeating unrelated makes/models/terms.
Copying text, descriptions, or specifications from competitor websites, manufacturer catalogues (without licence), or other sellers.
False or misleading claims about equipment condition, age, ownership, title, or compliance history.
If equipment has any outstanding finance, lien, or encumbrance, this must be disclosed in the listing description.
2.2 Images & Media
Original photographs taken by you of the actual equipment being listed.
Multiple angles including exterior, cabin/controls, engine bay, attachments, and any damage areas.
YouTube video links for equipment walkarounds (all plans) or hosted video uploads (Starter+).
Company logos, watermarks, or promotional text overlaid onto photographs (except seller watermarks applied by EasiMachines).
Stock photos, manufacturer marketing images, or photos clearly depicting a different unit than listed.
Images that contain personal data (license plates clearly visible — these should be obscured).
Images that infringe third-party copyright.
AI-enhanced or AI-generated images must be disclosed. Using AI to remove damage from photos constitutes misrepresentation.
3. Prohibited Items & Equipment
The following categories of equipment are absolutely prohibited from listing:
Stolen equipment — listing stolen goods may result in immediate account termination and referral to law enforcement.
Equipment subject to international trade sanctions or export embargoes under US, EU, Indian, or UN regulations.
Weapons, weapon systems, military-grade equipment, or components regulated under export control laws (ITAR/EAR/Indian SCOMET).
Equipment that generates, processes, or stores controlled materials (e.g., nuclear, biological, chemical) without appropriate regulatory clearance disclosures.
Counterfeit machinery or equipment with falsified serial numbers, CE marks, BIS certifications, or other regulatory compliance marks.
Equipment with known safety defects that have been recalled by the manufacturer, unless being sold for parts/scrap with full disclosure.
Asbestos-containing equipment, equipment with PCBs, or other hazardous materials: full COSHH/OSHA-equivalent disclosures required.
4. Seller Conduct
Respond to genuine buyer enquiries promptly (within 5 business days recommended).
Honour prices and descriptions as listed — do not raise prices after initial buyer contact.
Remove or mark listings as 'Sold' within 48 hours of completing a sale.
Disclose if you are acting as a broker or agent rather than direct owner.
Bait-and-switch tactics: advertising equipment at one price to attract enquiries, then requesting a higher price.
Off-platform payment pressure: attempting to redirect buyers to pay outside of any agreed process to evade Platform accountability.
Encouraging buyers to contact you through channels specifically to circumvent the Platform's enquiry system for the purpose of data harvesting.
Discriminatory conduct toward buyers based on nationality, religion, gender, or other protected characteristics.
Creating multiple accounts to circumvent listing limits or bans.
Brokers and intermediaries (selling on behalf of others) must disclose they are acting as agents and may be required to provide authority documentation.
5. Auction Listing Rules
Auctioneers and auction houses listing events on EasiMachines must additionally comply with:
Provide accurate auction house name, lot number, start/end dates, and direct URL to the live auction listing.
Update or remove listings if lot details change materially before the auction date.
Listing auctions that have already closed — all auction listings auto-expire at the stated end date/time.
Phantom listings — auction lots that do not genuinely exist or are not available for bidding.
Starting bid prices are treated as indicative — buyers must confirm reserve and buyer's premium directly with the auction house.
